When the opportunity came up to enter the UK's largest and hardest cross country race, for some reason I said yes.

The English National Cross Country was being held at Parliament Hill in London. This 12km XC race would be very hard indeed.

Following JOG ON course member Rachel's 10 mile time of 1:09:37, I believed that without any further training, if we could just employ good pacing, this personal best could be improved. I told Rachel to meet me on a start line one week later in North Devon at the Bideford 10 Mile road race. I was going to try and help Rachel run, even faster.
